Welcome to Webbye, a Chrome extension and web service owned and operated by Contraste Ltd. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

1. About Webbye

Webbye is a Chrome extension that enables users to extract structured data from websites, transform it using AI analysis, and export results in various formats (CSV, Excel, JSON). Our service includes both the browser extension and supporting web infrastructure.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing the Webbye extension, creating an account, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Yearly billing cycle

Credit System

Each extraction action consumes exactly 15 credits
Credits reset monthly on your billing date
Unused credits do not roll over to the next month

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Webbye only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms:

Permitted Uses:

Data extraction for research, analysis, and business purposes
Personal data organization and management
Market research and competitive analysis
Academic and educational projects

Prohibited Uses:

Scraping websites that explicitly prohibit data extraction in their terms of service
Collecting personal information without consent
Overloading target websites with excessive requests
Using the service for illegal activities or spam
Attempting to reverse engineer or compromise our systems
Sharing your account credentials with others

5. Data Extraction Guidelines

Respect robots.txt files and website terms of service
Do not extract copyrighted content for commercial redistribution
Ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
Be mindful of website performance and do not abuse target servers

6. Account Management

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
One account per user - sharing accounts is prohibited
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

7. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
You may cancel your subscription at any time
Refunds are processed according to our refund policy
Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

8. Refund Policy

Free plan users are not eligible for refunds
Pro plan refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Contact support within 14 days of billing for refund requests
Refund decisions are at the sole discretion of Contraste Ltd

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control

10. Intellectual Property

Webbye extension and all related software are owned by Contraste Ltd
All trademarks, logos, and brand names are property of Contraste Ltd
Users retain ownership of data they extract using our service
We retain the right to aggregate anonymous usage statistics

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Contraste Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for data extracted from third-party websites
Users assume all risks associated with data extraction activities

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, for:

Violation of these Terms of Service
Fraudulent payment activity
Abuse of our systems or other users
Legal requirements or court orders

Upon termination:

Your access to the service will be immediately revoked
Unused credits will be forfeited
Data export capabilities will be available for 30 days

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time
Significant changes will be communicated via email
Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of new terms
Previous versions will be archived and available upon request

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Contraste Ltd is incorporated. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Our affiliate program is subject to separate terms and conditions. Participants must comply with all applicable laws and our marketing guidelines.
